Happy Friday! So normally when I’m running or walking I like to listen to upbeat music, but I recently discovered the Whoa That’s Good podcast and I think everyone should give it a listen. The speaker, Sadie Robertson Huff is a wife and mother to Honey, her baby girl. She is absolutely adorable! Sadie has written several books and is the founder of the LO Sister App. She is just the coolest, and I hope to be half as incredible as she is!
Anyway, back to her podcast. I am a newer listener, but I have gone back and listened to several of her earlier podcasts, and they are great! She interviews her guests on the podcast asking them one question: what is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? I love hearing what all the different celebrities have to say! They have all had such incredible advice, and what’s really cool is when they talk more about their careers, you get to see how that advice has taken them far in life.
Sadie finds a way to incorporate humor, authenticity, God, and the most amazing life lessons all in 30-45 minutes! Her most recent episode, ‘Epic Relationship Advice + the Best Encouragement You’ll Hear This Year’ sums up the best advice that impacted her in 2021. She talks about how to love and be loved, growing in your relationships with others, developing confidence, getting through the difficult seasons in life, always remembering the importance of laughter and joy, and finally knowing that God is with you and that He has a purpose for you. Wow, I know! She packed all of that into one episode! Here are three key phrases she mentioned that really stuck with me.
- pay attention to what you pay attention to
- live your life like a verb (go out and DO things!)
- open the Bible every day, even if you only read one verse
I think I touched on these in my New Year’s Resolutions post, but I just HAD to share them again! This is such good advice that I’m planning on carrying with me throughout 2022.
