Hand-crafted by Mexican artisans, each custom bag takes a week to make, in addition to the three days it takes to make the handles. The material is 100% vegan plastic, giving the bags extra durability, and as I mentioned earlier, water resistance. A significant portion of the proceeds, 55%, are given back because the company works as a fair trade business. And, they are all so colorful and beautiful. The bags are a little pricy, but I love knowing my purchase directly impacts the artisans.
