Hey y’all! Happy Summer reading! Here is my June book review. I read Someone Else’s Summer by Rachel Bateman. What a perfect summer read. I loved just sitting in my beach chair, listening to the ocean waves, reading about summer adventures.
This novel follows the journey of Anna, as she grieves her sister Storm’s death from a car accident. She is completely lost and her family is falling apart until she finds her sister’s old summer bucket list. Anna feels that the only way to accept her sister’s passing is to check off every box on that list. She takes an epic road trip to the east coast from her small town in Iowa. Cameron, Storm’s best friend accompanies Anna on the trip. Not only does Anna learn so much about her sister, she discovers herself and who she truly is.
I love, love, LOVED this book! The grief, the romance, the adventure. This book had it all. I was laughing and crying throughout the whole thing. It really played with my emotions. Haha! 100% recommend! I would rate it 5/5.
xoxo, Joanna
